Motivational Monday--it's ok to start over


Good morning to you all & of course, happy Monday!! Today I wanted to talk about starting over. There has been an overwhelming amount of emails this month & a lot of discouraged people with their fitness goals, my best answer...it's ok!! 

So here we are, February is almost over (pinch me, I can't believe it); and many people have lost track of their New Years resolutions & their new 2014 goals. It's ok! Start over! Don't give up! 

Sometimes, when we become discouraged or frustrated with the goals that we wanted to accomplish but didn't, it weighs us down. But there is no need to give up, just start over at the beginning. If your goals involve weight loss, better eating habits, toning your body....it's not spring or summer yet, keep pushing! 

How you may ask? This is my inbox daily!! "How do I start over when my goals have been destroyed?". Ok y'all, nothing in fitness or healthy living is permanent. Everyone will indulge in that chocolate, have a soda, or fall off the wagon at some point. Do not throw out the goals you set just because of a setback. 

Here are my 3 rules for success in starting over with your goals.

1. Re-evaluate--do you need to extend your time limit? Lower the pounds wanting to lose? 

2. Focus--if you want to lose weight & lose fat, throw out the pantry!!! If it's unhealthy or packaged--throw it away! Only keep healthy food in your home if your goal is to lose fat. This goes for any goal, focus on the prize & eliminate every distraction that is in your control! 

3. Post it!!! Write it down and post it all over your house! Hold yourself accountable for your success! 


What were your goals when you started in 2014?? It's March at the end of the week!!! You are closer than you think to the first quarter of the year ending. You can start over today, don't be discouraged or ashamed of having to start over. The only disappointment you should have is in giving up on your goals because of a setback!!
