Where in the world is the Williams family?--2016/17 season recap

The season has come to an end for Morgan & Logan & will end shortly for Zo as well. We have grown so much this season as a family & Zo as an athlete. The past 2 years have absolutely been crazy for our trio & we look forward to sharing our testimony with you all this summer!

Zo & his team are headed to the 2nd round (semi-finals) & their first game is Sunday! Whoo! Let's get the championship! They will play best of 5 games which will determine if we play for 3rd place or head into the championship. (Championship of course we hope).

So, let's recap the season, shall we?

We really have enjoyed this season overall. Zo has had an amazing basketball year & we are so blessed for that! We also have enjoyed a few small trips together, a few trips home for Logan and mama, and overall a good experience from the city.

Basketball---recapping basketball is easy...it was great! Zo's team went to the top 16 in Eurocup & finished 3rd in the league. Zo had some wonderful statistics & really played great this year. The team chemistry showed so well on the court & im so proud of all they achieved & they aren't finished yet!

Our city---Penevesys was a good experience for us. It has been a while since we have done small town living & we're really spoiled in Germany. I forgot about the lack of grocery stores, lack of ethnic diversity, and deep stares that Eastern Europe brings. I also forgot about the amazing wine, crazy good fans, and cool architecture Eastern Europe has. You give & you take. Our city was small & that was hard on Logan & I. There wasn't much for either of us to do & the days became longer & longer. In October & then March we were able to get out more & the weather was great. In between was a bust with weather & that was always tough. Overall we fell in love with...

Don's donuts which was a weekly treat.

We enjoyed family dinners at Le Crepe which was delicious. My favorite was the salmon with grilled vegetables & a Nutella crepe for dessert. Logan stuck with French fries & Zo enjoyed the strawberry sauce with apples & cinnamon crepe for dessert and chicken with pasta for dinner.

I enjoyed the best coffee at my favorite local coffee shop, Kavalierius. Zo gave me breaks for a "mommy time out" which I always enjoyed. These were days I could just go on my own for a few hours & just get a break to relax away from "mama help, mama come, mama food." :)

They also had a mall in the city which we enjoyed & I was able to get all our necessities & often great deals on clothes for Logan at H&M. They also had Pizza Hut & KFC & well...you can't go wrong with those.

There were 2 indoor play places that Logan & I frequented in the city. One was at the mall & the other was free standing & was huge! Both of these indoor gyms had bouncy houses, trampolines, slides, ball pits, yummy ice cream, and buttery snacks. These were great & cost friendly & came in handy with the weather in the winter.

Overall the city & people were good to us. The staff on the team was super helpful & became our friends. We really enjoyed our Australian teammate & his wife & son. There weren't any other Americans & that was hard at times. But we made it & would do it over again. So, Lithuania next year??

Who knows, but absolutely! We aren't sure where next season will land us but Lithuania isn't being ruled out. We struggled this year in our specific city with not having schooling or help with Logan. We also did not have many foreigners which really is what helps you when you are away from home. We visited all over the country, many cities, and are confident in the country itself & would be happy to return to the country of Lithuania again.

So what's next for summer? Mom & dad are happy to announce Logan will be hanging out with a few friends other than us this summer! (Lol) He will be heading off to daycare 3x a week & will give us a much needed break & Logan some much needed (English speaking) social interaction. Zo will be doing HSB Camps in Boise Idaho like usual (so he won't be home too much), and Zo & I will be taking some MUCH needed time alone the first week of July to celebrate 5 years of marriage and my 30th birthday!! We haven't taken a vacation alone since I was pregnant & we literally can't wait.

So, thanks for always keeping up with our crazy trio. We are so thankful for your love, support, and prayers.

Excited to share our testimony & next steps soon!

Until then...

Zo, Mo, and Lo.
