Mommy Monday's---sickness & goodbyes!

Well well well....what a week we had last week!!! I'm so glad it's over & so excited for this week. Our flights were pushed back & we actually will be heading across the waters Wednesday!!! Whoo!!! I've been a single mama (without the hubs) for 42 days & that's just too long!! Not only am I possibly becoming a raging lunatic, I'm terribly missing my love.

Although goodbyes are never easy, we've grown to know them as our life...and choose to accept them as "see ya laters"

I will admit, the harsh reality is...
In the months we will be gone people will change, get married, have babies, get engaged, celebrate birthdays, Thanksgiving & Christmas without us present; and that's really tuff. We do our best to remember that in 5 (or so) years we will never miss anything & will be together with our friends & family for a lifetime! That's exciting.

We also are headed to explore some new territory (some old). I'm excited to head back to Eastern Europe and have a few road trips I'm looking forward to taking with new cities & people/culture to explore!!

Logan will be 2 next month & I can't even believe it! My sweet baby boy is for sure no longer a baby! We have prepped to have a construction themed party (thanks Etsy) overseas because Logan is obsessed with trucks & collisions---all boy!!!

Thankfully I am writing this to you all on the mend of an AWFUL stomach bug that has plagued our home since last Wednesday.

I'm pretty much the Lysol queen now & have completely drenched our house with it. Thank the Lord for mothers, especially mine when Saturday I woke up and couldn't get out of bed. I'll spare you the details but between Logan & I ----I flushed the toilet about 1,000 times! Yuck!!!

Logan was sick Wednesday-Friday & then passed it on to me...thanks kid! I finally (Sunday evening) feel my stomach has settled & I can actually start eating crackers instead of just broth & Gatorade.

I'm so grateful for friends who volunteered to help me out with Logan or just bring me somethings to help. And incredibly grateful for my mom who stayed all day Saturday with Logan while I basically slept & sweated out this virus!

So...here we go Lithuania & here we come Dada! We are so excited to be back as a family of 3! Stay tuned for more travel diaries :)
