Mommy Mondays-- my essentials list

Good morning mommies & happy Monday! This is our second blog post in mommy Mondays & I am happy to talk about my favorite "mommy essentials". These are personal favorite products that I am using with Logan that have made life more convenient with him. I am not getting anything free or being paid to write about these products, I just really am in love with them!

Logan is now 2 weeks old & still as perfect as ever. This past week we celebrated his first holiday....Thanksgiving! My mom was here to help us celebrate & made a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. We also decorated Logan's first Christmas tree!

At 2 weeks old, here are a few things about Logan.
-I'm holding my head up a lot!
-I'm eating every 3-4 hours (5 hours at night)
-I'm now in the 8 club---8pounds 2 ounces
-I'm still just 21 inches long :)
-I have bad gas!
-I tried a pacifier this week & mommy lets me have it when I'm fussy at night.
-daddy & MiMi gave me my first bottle of breast milk this week & I loved it!
-mom loves to kiss on my cheeks & watch me grab her face

My essentials list

Diaper bag
I am using the Lässig brand neckline bag in grey. I have loved this company for a while & appreciate their Eco-friendly products & the fact that they do not use PVC, azo dyes, phthalates, nickel or cadmium in any of their products.

The bag itself has a TON of organized pockets to put everything you might need. There's even mommy pockets in the front with zippers & compartments for your phone, wallet, & keys. The bag zips & completely closes so you aren't worried about anything falling out. The best part for me is that it is fashionable. I can carry it as a casual messenger bag with Logan or take off the strap & carry it as a cute purse. Included is a bottle insulator, a diaper changing pad, & an organization case.

Water bottle
I am constantly drinking water & even before I got pregnant I was always very aware of the amount I was drinking. Now more than ever, when I do not stay hydrated...I can feel it! I LOVE my forposhsake custom tumbler. The straw has a stopper at the bottom so it doesn't get lost! & if I a have another beverage (like hot coffee) inside I can remove the straw & seal the lid to drink from. Having my tumbler with me at all times helps remind me to stay hydrated & it's just too cute! You can find this shop on Etsy: forposhsake

Retail price: $25

Nursing Bras
I live in these things! I can't even tell you when the last time I wore a regular bra! I have worn these sports nursing bras my entire pregnancy, even at the gym! At about 4 months pregnant I went on a hunt for something comfy. I knew I would be growing and needed some flexibility. I invested in ALL types of different maternity bras. Cheap, expensive, colorful, you name it! Motherhood maternity was having a sale so I decided to try theirs. Needless to say, I have this nursing bra in EVERY color they make & in sizes small, medium, & large! They have carried me through pregnancy & now for nursing! I love them!

Retail price: $22

Nursing App on my phone
I LOVE the baby nursing app on my iPhone. This app literally helps me stay sane! In the first months, I feel it is extremely important to record Logan's activity. His feeding, diapers, & sleep patterns especially. This app lets you record every feeding & which breast, you can record the breast you pumped out of which I started this week, whether his diaper was wet or a BM, etc. there is a free & purchasable version of this app.

Retail price: free or $5

These are just a few of my favorite new mom items. I'm sure I'll have tons more to come! I would love to hear what are some of your favorite mom essentials? Shoot me an email, a message, or a comment!

Love,
Morgan
