More house updates :)

Good morning!!
As promised, I will be blogging my progress on the house as much as I can. Life is crazy busy & summer plans are underway. Our sweet Logan starts soccer this week & we can't wait! He also has transitioned to his toddler bed like a pro & it's a little bittersweet for mom & dad. He is such a big boy. Poor baby though is getting in all 4 molars and drooling & chewing on everything!!

Hopefully we will be installing a brand new fence & some windows here in the next couple weeks if the weather cooperates! Like I mentioned last post the weather in Houston is terrible. It rains almost everyday. Yuck! I am over it & ready for a sunny summer!

So back to the new house...this week I want to share some of our dining room design.

This view is from the entry of the living room. It's my favorite view because of the amazing paintings hanging in the entry. I have been obsessed with them since a special Latvian painter (Zo's teammates sister) painted them in 2013. The top is our wedding portrait & the bottom is Zo at practice & his coach in the distance. That season was a wonderful 10 months for us. Zo won the championship & Logan was conceived. We have such wonderful memories there & these paintings are a daily reminder.

Another one of my favorites in the dining room is the modern lighting. We LOVE (more like obsessed) with this one!

My table decor is in the teal/green/red family, with a few florals (as you can see in the curtains & napkins). I am still undecided about what is going in the center tray, but I love that tray so it's staying! :)

Another favorite of the dining room is the BAR area! I have one section of the wall with wall writing & pictures. (I found the pictures on Pinterest). The BAR sign is from Michaels craft store.

If you know us, guests & entertaining are our jam! So...our guest rooms will probably be cooler than our master suite lol. But that's okay, we love a welcoming environment & to add to that, the dining room; which is the conversational space will have a bar. We are still researching & designing the final wall which will be floating bar shelves. Our ideas & inspo are similar to what I have below.

Slow and steady wins the race, right???? :)

Stay tuned for more...and next week, I plan to be back to blog topics!
